  • When the Basic home screen of Netgear router appears, Select ADVANCED and then select Administration.

    Note: avoid to interrupt the firmware update process as this might lead to firmware corruption, rendering your router unusable.

  • Launch the Orbi app on your mobile device that’s connected to your Netgear router’s network.
  • Enter your Netgear router's admin username and password and tap on the SIGN IN button.
  • The Netgear router dashboard gets displayed. On that, tap on the Menu icon on the top left.
  • Go to Settings and select the Router Settings.
  • Scroll down and select the Check for Updates.
  • Then, Follow the onscreen instructions on your mobile device to update the firmware on your Netgear routers.
